Chicagoan David Diaz will be a huge underdog when he steps into the ring with the Philippines' Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night, but he's talking like a guy who exudes confidence.Speaking at a press event yesterday where the reporters were much more interested in talking to Pacquiao, Diaz said this to Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review Journal:
"If I were Manny Pacquiao, I would be concerned about my will. I will be there the entire fight, and I will stay there the entire fight."Diaz isn't talking trash about Pacquiao -- he also said,"He's done a lot for boxing. I just became champion" -- but he is talking like someone who has a lot more confidence in himself than just about anyone else has in him.

I actually want/wish that Pacquiao wins. Although he recently became a bad model for the Filipino people (with vices and stuffs), he is still a strong figure that inspires a lot of people in the Philippines and he also unite people because whenever he has a match, the crime rate is at the lowest because all are watching and/or listening to a transmission on how this Filipino boxer fares.

I hope Manny won't underestimate Boxer DD from Chi, just won't work that way. I've noticed the PACMAN smiling in-between rounds in his recent exploits in the ring, after round 2 of of Pacquiao-Marquez II where he got tag with a solid left hook to the chin that almost buckle his knees and during the rematch with Barrera. I also notice the type of fights he displayed were more of a boxer type and no longer the whirlind type of Pacquiao that overwhelms opponents...I long for the Pacquiao that can be likened to a one man wrecking crew which devour the antagonist - torn into bits and pieces...David Diaz as some would say is the weakest of the Lightweight champions, but the fact remains,he's no chump but he is a champion by all means with a big heart, good chin and an olympian to back his credentials, last time I checked, belts are not just given away for free...Our pride - PACMAN must convince the boxing world that he deserves to be considered as the top pound for pound by demolishing Diaz in a brutal fashion...Good luck to both men,Viva Mexico at Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
