Manny Pacquiao is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, but he'll enter the ring as an underdog when he moves up from lightweight to welterweight to fight Oscar De La Hoya on December 6.
Bodog has posted the odds on the fight, which was first reported today:
Who will win the fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao? Those odds show a clear expectation that Pacquiao will struggle to move up from 135 pounds to 147 pounds, and that De La Hoya, fighting at closer to his natural weight, should be able to finish his smaller opponent.
Oscar De La Hoya -400
Manny Pacquiao +300
How many rounds will the fight last?
Over 9 ½ Even
Under 9 ½ -135
I'm not so sure. I think Pacquiao might just have the punching power to knock out the biggest opponent he's ever fought. I can't wait to find out.

career wise, this is the best decision for pac-man because he's getting the biggest purse of his entire career. although obviously it's a great mis-match, i believe nothing is impossible as long as you have the determination and faith that you can win. for oscar, well, as usual, it's also a wise decision to choose an opponent for his farewell fight for he got all the advantages and not to mention, the all-mexican mission of defeating the pac-man.

People (especially his Philipino brothers) seem to forget that Morales beat Pacquiao. So Pac-man has been beaten by a Mexican ; )

Dying to see the so called"revenge" of a US-mexican boxer dela Hoya for the lost of his many countryman in Pacman's manslaughter fist . But i forewarn him, coz there are lots of mex boxer who promised that word for so many times, but Pacman failed them. Avoid "blackeyed christmas", Oscar!! It's really a great shame for your last exit & the whole mexicans!!

This will be pacquaio hardest fight, yet it will be his greatest fight. I still believed pacquaio can beat delahoya. See how speed beat the heavier fighter in pacquiao-diaz match? it will be an exciting match.

It will be 'easy money' for PACMAN fans at these odds!
Combo punches of the Pacman will negate the height and weight advantages of the great Oscar (he's a 'truck' according to David Diaz).
PPV fee will be worth it!
Filipinos in Sydney Australia always watch PACMAN's fights - "MASANTING INI ABE!"
