Mike Tyson is quietly meeting with publishers in an effort to shop a tell-all memoir, and the early indications are that the book will focus as much on the three years he spent in prison after he was convicted of rape as it will on his 20-year boxing career.
According to the New York Post, Tyson actually began the process of writing a memoir while he was in prison, and he used his cellmate as his sounding board.
"Me and my cellmate would read to each other at night," Tyson told one editor. "One night I would read out loud to him, the next night he would read out loud to me. And we would do that back and forth until the book was completed."Tyson has shopped his book proposal to five major publishers. The Post suggests that Tyson, who declared bankruptcy in 2003 after earning more than $300 million in his career, could fetch $4 million for his memoirs.

I ran into Mr.Tyson at a blockbuster video store here in Las Vegas, Mr.Tyson couldnt even count out the money he needed to pay for his videos. It doesnt surprise me that he is broke, for he had the worst people in the world handling his money, cause he couldnt. I hope he finds a book deal, and I hope he does a better job of keeping track of whatever he gets. DMG

At 20 yars old, he could have stomped ANYONE in the ring, Ali, Foreman, Norton, he would have squashed all of them. Too bad he lost control. I guess a victim of surrounding himself with thugs & crooks... 300 million lost to those people... wow. And Wayne?? he's BROKE now... knucklehead. Clearly, that's why he's trying to write a book... Sad as he was the MONSTER boxer of all-time.

Mike Tyson lost $300 million dollars. Now that's stupid. Somewhere along the line, he should have taken some responsibility for the management of his money. If he started out knowing nothing, he had the means to learn and he never took that opportunity. He was a great fighter, true, but he is a bad person. Arrogance and bullying are not attractive qualities for anyone to have, and he has those qualities in abundance. I don't feel one bit sorry for him. He had the means to make a fabulous life for himself and he make very poor choices. Raping that poor girl was one of them. How would he have reacted if he had a daughter and someone attacked her, with complete disregard for her feelings as a person and for what that frightening episode would mean to her for the rest of her life? Did he enjoy making her feel like an animal in a trap? Did he think she enjoyed being treated like a piece of meat just because he was Mike Tyson? Of course not. He has no clue. He's selfish and arrogant and unfeeling and deserves these hard times. If his book is published, want to bet he'll blow that money, too? Then what? He's been in the news for hitting people out of the ring, too. Mike Tyson is broke? Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Wayne, if you think Mike Tyson is a "good person" then you must have the same "values" he has. I feel sorry for anyone who crosses your path, especially any woman. Please, don't inflict yourself on any woman, OK? Stay single.

The man needs help! I understand that he raised himself in the streets of Brooklyn. Every child need parents or somebody to guide their life and teach them some good values. Apparently, he did not have parents in his life from an early age. However, I remember Gus De'Amato tried to help him but he died,so Tyson was on his own. It seems that a lot of people took advantage of him including Robin Givins & her mother, & many others. Too bad!
