Every boxing fan knows that Miguel Cotto is one of the best welterweights in the world. But only the most hard-core of boxing fans know anything about the guy he'll fight on Saturday night, Michael Jennings. In fact, Cotto himself acknowledged that even he didn't know much of anything about Jennings at the time that he signed on to fight him. Even in the time since he signed that contract, Cotto has only watched tapes of Jennings' two most recent fights.
Cotto tells Sky Sports:
"I didn't know a lot about Michael Jennings, but now I'm prepared for anything he can bring to me," Cotto said. "It's going to be a tough fight. He'll be coming with all his heart from England and looking for the championship belt. He's a classical kind of boxer. He's like Luca Branco, Oktay Urkal, very technical, very similar."Cotto says "it's going to be a tough fight," but we all know that after losing to Antonio Margarito the last time he stepped into the ring, what Cotto wanted was an easy fight. I don't think he'll have much trouble against Jennings.
We'll have a Miguel Cotto-Michael Jennings live blog on Saturday night here at FanHouse.

Michael Jennings will be good for 3-4 rounds and then Miguel will turn up the afterburners...How much longer it will last beyond that will depend on Michael Jennings heart and whether M.C. has his earlier intensity.
