Video: Bobby Lashley vs. Jason Guida, With Roy Jones as Promoter

Roy Jones Jr. has two jobs on Saturday night: He'll step into the ring to box Omar Sheika, and he'll promote the entire March Badness card, which features both MMA and boxing on the undercard, and Bobby Lashley fighting Jason Guida in the MMA main event.

And in the above video, you can see that Jones has figured out a few things about the promotion business, including that the easiest way to generate hype for a fight is to have the two fighters get into some contrived shouting and shoving match at the pre-fight press conference, with the promoter trying to step in to keep the peace.

I don't think Lashley vs. Guida is a particularly good MMA fight, but I do think it's getting a fairly good amount of publicity -- that video has already been viewed more than 60,000 times on YouTube. If Jones translate that online hype into pay-per-view buys, he'll have as successful a career as a promoter as he's had as a boxer.
