Australian boxer Billy Dib landed an illegal punch that should have gotten him disqualified in his fight Thursday in Sydney, but the referee somehow awarded him a controversial TKO over Japan's Kenichi Yamaguchi. And things got worse from there.
After the fight, Yamaguchi's corner was, justifiably, furious with the ref, and in the ensuing confrontation Yamaguchi, Dib and representatives for both of them clashed.
Dib told the Sydney Morning Herald he had banned certain members of his entourage from being in his corner again:
"I have already had a few words with some people, they can't come to my fights any more," he said. "All these people wanted is their one minute of fame on TV, but really they don't know they are hurting my career."That's the right thing for Dib to do, but even more importantly, he needs to give Yamaguchi a rematch. Dib shouldn't be proud of having this win on his record.

So wrong. Slip and late hit and the guy was recovered and walk to the ref.
The fight should be called a no- contest. This was a bad call by the ref. It is clearly a cheap
shot by Dib and he was not in the middle of a combanation as he stated later. He also showed no class in pushing Yam and his cornerman with out cause which is what caused the brawl afterwards. No class for Dib, strip the belt and declare a no-contest. There should be action taken against the ref as well.
What a sh*t of a fighter...
Not to mention that the guy who does the post fight interview is clearly in he pocket of Dibs promoters. Any interviewer worth his salt would have been rockin Dib's for that, how pathetic. They guy just keeps talking like it didn't even happen.
WHAT DO U EXPECT LOL AUSSIES DOEST LOIKE ASIAN PEOPLE LOL
Its a well know fact that Australians are not good with asian people. Even before the slip you can tell that the ref was partial. Lets have a remach and have that ref come to Japan. Think he will come?
Stuff like this makes it very bad for boxing, they need to have a rematch in a netural area that's for sure. The Champion needs to clear this up that's for sure!
I hope Billy gets knocked out in his next fight and starts crying like a baby.
It is clearly a no contest. The ref and judges should have stepped up and called it a no contest. I agree with most post on Dib not being a professional. He clearly started the brawl that pursued, that alone should be cause for at least some kind of fine on him and his corner man. NO CLASS PERIOD.
