Floyd Mayweather Jr. is busy this week preparing for Saturday night's big fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, but he's taking a few minutes out of his schedule on Monday afternoon to chat with boxing fans right here at FanHouse.Mayweather, the 39-0 welterweight who is returning to the ring Saturday night in Las Vegas after almost two years off, is looking to prove against Marquez that no matter how long he's been away, he's still the best boxer in the world. If you want to ask Mayweather about the fight, you can do it right here and get his live responses starting at 5PM ET, or you can submit the questions in advance to me via Twitter @MichaelDavSmith.

Floyd, do you ever think of what would happen if you lose? If so, would you retire or continue to fight?

Who will be the next best Heavyweight to rule for at least 5 years, elimanating the the two Russian champs. I think they are good but have no real boxing skills. They just hit hard like George. It also seems as if the Eourpean heavyweights are taking over that division. Where are our American fighters?

While I understand Bob Arum's frustration that Floyd Mayweather is not the kind of fighter that would please him because of Mayweather's so called defensive style, it is unfair of Arum to come down so hard on Mayweather the way he did.
I wonder if Arum would dared have said James J. Corbett had a boring style when he fought and defeated the great John L. Sullivan in a great "defensive" and offensive fight? Of course not. Or, would Arum have called the great Benny Leonard too defensive or boring? Or Willie Pep?
What Arum won't tell you is the obvious and that Mayweather is a complete fighter. That means in defense and offense. He is like a great Chess Grandmaster and not just an ordinary master that knows exactly how to position himself for what he wants and methodically stick to his plan seeing deep into the position, and adjust accordingly if necessary.
If the opportunity for a KO say like he accomplished aginst Ricky Hatton presents itself, Mayweather will of course take it as any great strategist recognizing a tactical win at hand..or setting up for such a win as the rounds progress.
After all, by definition, Boxing is to hit and not get hit..and that is exactly what Floyd Mayweather does and does exceedingly well. He is an extremely intelligent boxer that has never been given his just dues in my opinion and I rate him as one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport.
That is why I have repeatedly stated that Mayweather will defeat Pacquiao when they eventually fight (and they will). The reason I say that is quite clear to me. While Pacquiao is an extremely fast and effective boxer he lacks the depth of a Mayweather.
You see, Floyd Mayweather is also extremely fast and quick, but many do not see that with the angles he uses. Pacquiao just doesn't have that geometric mastery and that, makes all the difference in the world with two fighters that are great. Therre can only be one that is greater than the other in a fight like this, and that one is Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather's fights show the hallmark of an All Time great Boxer. The knockout of Hatton and the way it was executed by Mayweather is but one example of what I am talking about. There have been other examples, if people watch carefully.
As for Mayweather's upcoming fight against Marquez, I am convinced Mayweather will win and win big, and surpise many of his detractors.
