Hours before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at San Diego's PETCO Park before the Padres' baseball game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, reigning Fighter of the Year Manny Pacquiao directed a vocal counter-punch at trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr."Maybe all of them -- they're using the steroids, and not me," said Pacquiao, responding to -- and hearing for the first time -- implications by Floyd Sr. that he might have used steroids.
"You know what? I don't even know what a steroid is," said Pacquiao. "I've never done that."
Freddie Roach: 'Steroids? Where in the Hell Did That Come From?'
Floyd Mayweather Sr., whose son, Floyd Jr., is an undefeated six-time champion over five weight classes, told Michigan's Grand Rapids Press "I think they're pushing Pacquiao too much -- even if he's got 'roids in his body."
"In my honest opinion, I believe that he's on some type of supplements," said Floyd Mayweather Sr. "I don't think that he can beat Little Floyd with steroids in him or not. He don't have that kind of talent or that kind of skill -- whatever he has in him.""Floyd Mayweather was the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter before, but not any more. I'm not going to say that about myself. I'll leave that up to the fans and someone else to decide."

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0, 25 knockouts) will take on Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at a catchweight of 144 pounds.
Marquez has a loss and a draw against Pacquiao, who has stopped both Oscar De La Hoya and former champion Ricky Hatton -- fighters Mayweather defeated by decision and 10th-round knockout, respectively, before retiring 21 months ago.
Mayweather, whose fight opposite Marquez is his comeback bout, insists that he still should be considered boxing's best fighter, pound-for-pound, upon his return.
But Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs), a Filipino who will go after the World Boxing Organization welterweight (147 pounds) title owned by Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs) on Nov. 14, begs to differ.
"Floyd Mayweather was the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter before, but not anymore," said Pacquiao, who is trained by Freddie Roach. "I'm not going to say that about myself. I'll leave that up to the fans and someone else to decide."
Pacquiao spent some time earlier this month filming a movie in his native Philippines in which he plays a superhero named Wombat Man, whose powers are a combination of those of Superman and Spider-Man.
Pacquiao said that he will require all of his skills against Cotto, whom he called "a very good fighter," adding, "I'm not going underestimate him."

Pacquiao uses the same supplements that Timothy Bradley and Jose Antonio Rivera uses.
nice paquiao and nice fanhouse
The Mayweathers are the most classless individuals in boxing. Floyd`s a great fighter, no doubt. But why is he dodging Pacquio? I hope we get to see these two in the ring, and Pacquio beats the brakes off his arrogant ass!
u dont no boxing man 1st mayweather didnt ask 4 marquez he couldnt get your favorite back n the ring (pacman) so the little man decides 2 go after the bigger man, u might hate mayweather but he dont care hes the best defensive fighter that has came around n a long time and when your as good and accurate as he is hes going 2 b hated cause hes so good
pacquiao/mayweather fight will never happen.cotto will defeat the pacman.cotto is as quick pacquiao.power wise cotto's alot stronger.
Not gonna happen.PacMan is at his best and he lives large in the ring.
The Mayweathers are jealous as hell of Pacquiao's superior performance against Hatton and Delahoya which is a telltale sign that Manny would obliterate Floyd. However, I seriously doubt that Mayweather would ever fight such a talented fighter like Manny. Do you really suppose that Floyd would ever fight anyone who he wasn't sure he would defeat? Floyd "retired" without fighting Cotto or Mosley, and I think that he will retire again without fighting Pacquiao.
Just the beginning of the mind games the Mayweathers will try to use on Manny leading up to their fight. These psychological ploys will ultimately fail, of course, because Pac Man will knock him out in 8.
I think that Floyd Sr. and his brother Roger could possibly be the two dumbest people in the world. When I listen to Roger I actually feel sorry for him.
LISTEN!! FLOYD SR IS A WASHED UP HAS BEEN.HE'S A NIT WIT,WITH THAT SAID,PACMAN IS IN FLOYD JR HEAD FLOYD JR WILL NOT AND CAN NOT BEAT MANNY,PERIOD....GOOD LUCK WITH COTTO.MANNY IN 8 TKO
Mayweather Sr.'s thought process is a result of his drug abuse. This is what happens to your brain (or lack thereof) if you abuse drugs. He's making those comments so he can be in the news. Also, I don't understand Jr's claim that he's so goddamn rich and defaults (and gets sued)on his car payments. First of all, if you're that rich, why even get a car loan? This family is a total mess!
@ avillan, sigmund freud used cocaine frequently...
BOXING IS WASHED UP CURRUPT SPORT. GO UFC.
Floyd sr is high off stupidity. This is the same guy who said Hatton was gonna whoop Pac-Man!
Boxing is still alive and if your a true fight fan than you like fighting of all styles.
does'nt like Boxing but he reads the columns?!

It is simply amazing how so many people underestimate the superior skills of Floyd Mayweather. Anyone that truly understands boxing should realize that styles makes fights and just because Pacquiao defeated Oscar Dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton in a "more convincing way" as stated by many, it certainly does not mean anything as to how Pacquiao and Mayweather will fair against each other when they ultimately face off.
One major reason Mayweather is unfairly criticized by many so called true boxing fans is the manner in which he goes about getting his victories. Simply put, he takes no serious chances if not required to and sticks to his fight plan, and only if the opportunity presents itself will he got for the knockout. After all, the true essence of the sport and great art of boxing is to hit and not get hit.
Pacquiao, to the contrary, has taken questionable risks to attain victory, and has been able to get away with it with due to lesser opponents and his superior speed. This will not happen with Floyd Mayweather, as Mayweather might not look as fast as Pacquiao when he fights, but he has something better than Pacquiao which is his Quickness-which is amazing if his fights are scrutinized very carefully, and especially his quickness in angles and close in boxing.
Mayweather's power is not to be underestimated also as 25 Ko's in 39 fights which is an outstanding KO percentage, and especially at the level Mayweather fights at.
There is absolutely no question in my mind that Floyd Maywether will have a convincing victory over Marquez this coming Saturday and will be the ultimate victor of his fight with Manny Pacquiao. And for those who think that fight will not happen, think again. It will.
pacman is a more superior master of the ring hands down, thats why floyd is dodging pacman, cause he knck him into the next universe, thats why floyd wont fight pacman, and as for the mayweathers all are a bunch of crack heads
ITS TRUE.. MANNY PACQUIAO IS ON STERIODS... BECAUSE HE'S A SUPERHERO NAMED WOMBRAT BOY.
you talk about crackheads? the maywethers all look like crackheads
maybe the mayweathers are trying to lure some sponsors so they can have their own reality show...although i doubt if this will happen...who will deal with these kind of people...as it is right now, both jr. and sr. are just playing mind games...jr. is not even sure if he can beat marquez...i like marquez's chance on sat...
If he is using steroids, he is using the wrong ones. He is not a big guy at all. Almost any man could achieve his level of muscularity without the use of anabolics. I highly doubt that he is using performance-enhancing drugs.
