Undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s father, Floyd Sr., and the fighter's uncle and trainer, Roger, say the ice has thawed on their longtime feud.
But their relationship still seems a bit frosty.
"I have no beef with my brother," Roger Mayweather, 47, told FanHouse on Thursday. "My brother only had a beef with me because I trained his son."
Long exiled from his son's camp by the fighter himself, Floyd Sr. said he has been a part of Floyd Jr.'s preparation for Saturday night's 144-pound, non-title clash with Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Floyd Sr. has "no problems" with Roger, but would not elaborate on how he reconciled with Floyd Jr., nor the training job his younger sibling has done with his son.
"That's (feuding) something that happened a lot of years ago," said Floyd Sr., 56, whose son who takes a record of 39-0 with 25 knockouts into his bout with Marquez (50-4-1, 37 KOs). "I'm only interested in a relationship with Little Floyd."
Input into Floyd Jr.'s training has involved "things like holding the heavy bag and helping with shadow boxing," said Floyd Sr.
Roger Mayweather has been Floyd Jr.'s primary trainer, with assistance from Leonard Ellerbee and Rafael Garcia. Roger said that won't change on Saturday night.
Floyd Sr. also reiterated his belief that Philippines boxer, Manny Pacquiao, has used steroids.
"This is my personal opinion," said Floyd Sr. "That's just something I believe."
Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KOs) will meet World Boxing Organization welterweight (147 pounds) champion Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs) of Puerto Rico on Nov. 14.
Mayweather-Marquez is being shown on HBO-pay per view, as well as at designated movie theaters around the country. Click here for a list of participating theaters.
