David Haye Weighs In at 218 Pounds, Nikolay Valuev at 316

The weight difference will be 98 pounds in Saturday's heavyweight title fight billed as David vs. Goliath, as England's David Haye weighed in at 218 pounds on Friday, while Russia's Nikolay Valuev weighed in at 316.

As big a size difference as that is, it's actually a little bit less than expected, as 218 is the most Haye, the former cruiserweight champion of the world, has ever weighed, and 316 is a little less than Valuev usually comes in at.

Haye commented at the weigh-in:
"Going up against this guy is going to be strange. It is going to be a real shock to my system, no doubt, but I feel I can adapt and figure out a strategy to beat this big guy.

"He's the WBA heavyweight champion of the world. I said from day one that I wanted to become the heavyweight champion and here's my opportunity. This is what it's all about.

"I've trained so hard throughout the years. I was the undisputed, unified cruiserweight champion and that's what I want to do at heavyweight.
The fight takes place Saturday, with the pay-per-view show starting at 3 PM ET.
