Future Rabbi Yuri Foreman Dreamed of Being First Israeli Boxing Champ

On Saturday, Nov. 14, Brooklyn resident and soon-to-be-Rabbi, Yuri Foreman, made history by dethroning Puerto Rico's Daniel Santos for the WBA junior middleweight (154 pounds) title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

In doing so, the 29-year-old Foreman (28-0, eight KOs) became the first Israeli to earn a professional boxing title. Foreman was "still a little bit tired and overwhelmed," and displaying the bumps and bruises of battle when FanHouse caught up to him for this post-fight, recap interview.
