Bute (24-0, 19 knockouts) vs. Andrade (28-2, 21 KOs) live blog: Refresh this page often for minute-by-minute updates.

Prefight:
Andrade entered the ring wearing a black, hooded jacket with the words, HEAD RUSH, printed in white lettering across the front. Andrade also wore a black, baseball cap with white lettering on it. Andrade wore white trunks with red trim.

Bute, the hometown fighter, entered with an elaborate light show to the tunes of U-2's "Streets Have No Name." Wearing a white robe with red trim, Bute was loudly cheered, as the fans chanted his last name. Bute also wore white trunks with read trim with his first name on the front of them.

Michael Buffer: "Let's Get Ready To Rumble."

Round 1:
His fans cheering, "Bute!", repeatedly, the champion, out of his southpaw stance, came out jabbing and circling. Andrade ran into a short uppercut but was unhurt. Andrade grazes with a long right hand and lands a short, left uppercut during a clinch. Bute's jab was short much of the time, but he fired a straight left that connected. Each time there was a potential clinch, Bute pushed his rival off. Bute landed another straight left as the round ended. Bute's round, 10-9.

Round 2: Told that he was "a little too tense," in the first round, Bute fires another straight left for emphasis early as Andrade plods forward. A right-left by Bute jolts but doesn't hurt Andrade, who answers with an overhand right. Bute's fakes set up Andrade for right-lefts and other shots that score as he controls the fight from a distance. Andrade lands a right-left during a clinch. Bute answers with a three-punch combination and spins off. Andrade lands a three-punch volley of his own in the final seconds. Bute's round, 10-9.

Round 3: It is clear between rounds that Bute's corner does not like the proximity within which the champion is fighting Andrade. They believe that he is engaging in the challenger's style. Bute punctuates a four-punch combination with a hard, straight left hand. Three more hard left hands follow from Bute, who also follows up with a couple of right hands. Andrade, however, is landing a telltale right hand cleanly on occasion. Although Bute is boxing beautifully, Andrade appears to be working to apply pressure in the hopes that the champion will wear down. Bute's round, 10-9'

Round 4: Andrade is told to throw more punches between rounds. Bute takes two, early uppercuts. Although Bute is busier, Andrade's blows appear to be effective. Bute lands a four-punch combination, and then drops the forward-moving Andrade with a short, left hand with about a minute and 15 seconds left in the round. Andrade rises, and gamely takes another five-punch combination. Andrade goes down, yet again, this time, from a short, left hand to the right side of his ribs. On all fours, Andrade does not get up, this time, and is counted out with three seconds left in the round by referee Benjy Estevez.

Lucian Bute, who dropped Librado Andrade for only the second and third times in his career, wins by fourth-round knockout at 2:57 of round No. 4
